Sarah Mattingly, MSPT, has been practicing physical therapy since graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2004. She was raised in Shelbyville, Kentucky, by Rose Deatherage and Maurice “Squeak“ Payton and has 3 siblings, Paula, Manny, and David Payton. She also has a foster brother who came along when she was in college, whom she also considers a brother, and his name is Rodney Davis. She started out getting a finance degree at UK, but got into physical therapy school in her junior year. She ended up with a dual degree, receiving a bachelor’s in health sciences and a master’s in physical therapy.

Sarah now lives in Winchester and has since 2010, but has been serving the community as a physical therapist since 2004. She is married to Matt Mattingly, who is co-owner of the original Legacy Physical Therapy in Hardinsburg, KY. They have 3 beautiful children: Ella, Ava, and Brady. She loves people and wants for her patients to know how much she wants them to achieve their goals and to never feel as though they are a number or that she is working for the insurance company. She wants them to feel more like family and have fun while they get better.
